Girls and Boys may start the Cub Scout program if they are entering grades K through 5 in the Fall of 2026.
1. Register your new scout with Scouting America
☝️At the end of online registration process, the site will ask you to pay a National Membership fee and a Boys Life magazine subscription. This is a one time fee in addition to the Pack Dues Payment section below.
2. Fill out the 2026-2027 Member Registration Form for Cub Scouts Pack 12.
3. Complete a Medical Release Form (the one under "All Scouting Events") for everyone in attendance (this includes parents, guardians, siblings, youth, and leaders). Bring this with you to your first cub scout event or pack meeting where they will be collected. (Read more about how these forms are used here).
4. Complete and return the Media Release Form.
5. Pay Pack Dues (see Pack Dues Payment section below)
6. Submit Forms (see Submitting Forms and Asking Questions section below)

Pack Dues for New and Returning Scouts is $250 (link) if submitted before July 1st 2026. After July 1st, the fee goes up to $275 (link). Submit to payment@pack12sanmateo.org or use the links above.
Include the child's name and grade they will be entering in the fall in the memo section for the paypal transaction.
Paypal is free if you transfer money from a checking account. If you use a credit card to pay with paypal, please add an additional $3.50 to cover the service fee charged by the credit card company.
We highly recommend that you copy and paste the actual email address into paypal (payment@pack12sanmateo.org) or use this link. The most common reason that we do not receive payments is due to an incorrect email address. It must match exactly for the payment to be received.
All registration and pack due fees are non-refundable.
☝️ Pack Dues are in addition to any Scouting America National Group registration fees for new members collected by my.scouting.org when you filled out the online registration.
